My interests are primarily in Minimalism, formal syntactic theories, and language acquisition. I’m currently getting my PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of South Alabama. I’m able to transfer some of my knowledge from linguistics to this new field, and I am currently researching probabilistic language learning and Specific Language Impairment (SLI). I just simply have a passion for understanding the underlying principles for language structure, use, and acquisition. Many of the topics that I will probably write about will center around the topics I’ve listed above. I also have secondary interests in politics, public/science education, and pedagogy.
